Gauchos del Mar

I'm digging these guys, the trips they are taking seem interesting and they wrote a good article for Surfer's Journal. Just bought their DVDs.

Campus Pt. April 2015

Quick little goodbye to SB surf (Sara is doing a 2 year postdoc at UCSC now). A triathalon kind of interfered with the surfing plan...

Scorpion anchorage

We went out to SCI in March, to take down the Sauces weather station with Doug and look at the pine mortality due to the crazy drought we are in. It's so nice out there. We stayed an extra day to go to this special secret beach on the south shore. The road was crazy. Snorkled and beach combed. We got a flat on the way out + no air in the spare, walked some and then were rescued by one of the blue jay crew guys in Rust, the FJ-40.  Here's a vid of bird song around the field station:

Devereaux

Here is a little photoseries from Devereaux, mostly of Sara, with the Nikon 300mm f4. Some earlier shots are here. This is basically her learning to love the ocean.
