Jason Quick / Blazers

Quick is a weird writer, he inserts himself into stories too much, but there are some great stories in here.

These were hiding on the D200, finally got them off of it...
a decent photo of me for once, not too photogenic...

Mostly shot by Sara, from the other camera, D200 with a 55mm lens that is stuck at f2.8. Looking at these, it's fun to only use one lens and deal with it!

Sara drove up, then went to Minneapolis for a meeting. I took the train up the following week, made blackberry jam, watched food network, saw my Grandpa and some of the family. Low key but nice. We drove back together, mostly on the 1. I edited photos from the D600 down to 186, so the following are a short-ish snippet of the sights.

NPR Throwback Weekend

Last weekend was interesting on NPR. Sunday morning the host was Susan Stamberg, who has been with NPR since 1972, not that I've listened to NPR for anywhere near that (since 2002 for me, more or less), but still pretty cool to hear her re-taking the host's chair. Prairie Home Companion was a re-broadcast from May of 2000 and was awesome. Randy Newman is great. ALSO, it was the first appearance of Nickel Creek on Prairie Home, they were 18-19 years old. Really fun to listen to.

Some throwback pics while I'm at it.
