Blaxploitation/Onion

There's a feature in the onion called 'gateways to geekery' which provies a way too short intro to a genre of movies/music, whatever. It's almost annoying short, though one on the dead did cause me to go buy Hundred Year Hall, which we listened to alot at SDSU, so it's worth something.

Anywho. I've never really had a black friend till I met Keely's fiance, Traves. There are no black people in Oregon, the 'burbs of Long Island, Monterey, SB. I swear. Also SA was still in to apartheid when we were there. Learning about black people through watching Blaxploitation movies is not good. But the movies are funny. And weird. I own the Mack, the movie the onion article talks about. Also Dolomite is pretty sweet. There are a ton of recommendations in the comments section of the article. Including a little diddy about The Harder they Come, which I had mentioned yesterday: "I watched Harder They Come without the subtitles. So I don't have much idea what happened in it." Exactly.
