Where to begin? We saw alot of country. We took alot of photos. I'm going to put a few of the best in this post, and then have links to individual posts at the bottom. It's daunting. Check out the best ofs from my camera, Sara's camera, Erin's camera, and a point and shoot we used in Valparaiso.

Chile, Antofagasta to San Pedro de Atacama

We flew LAX -> Lima -> Santiago -> Antofagasta and rented a truck there to drive up into the mountains

we stayed at a hotel the first night to wash off airplane residuals

Chile, San Pedro de Atacama area, road towards el Tatio northbound

We didn't go all the way to the el Tatio geysers, saving that for another trip, plus we had just a few days up in the altiplano. The road was beautiful and passed through a wetland area that had llamas, vicunas, and andean and chilean flamingos.

 altiplano. amazing. there were some interesting camp sites up here, the best one was occupied so we ended up turning around and camped downhill a little.
