Harvested my potatoes yesterday. Might have done it a little early but whatever. Dirt + vermicompost was free, seed potatoes were some old red potatoes that sprouted, and rainwater is free, so no financial outlay...
Ate them just now. Cooked with olive oil and chard, the liquid from the chard steamed the spuds. Had some cilantro pesto (cilantro, walnuts, garlic) on the side. I'm trying to get over my cilantro = soap hangup. Nice dinner.
