Talking Bicycles

Couple of cool radio stories this morning. David Byrne from Talking Heads has put out a book about cycling, and the bit on NPR was great. Also, on Bob Edwards Weekend was a story with Michael Fay, the guy who did the megatransect through the Congo to study elephants in 1999. This time he did a transect up the Cali coast, looking at redwoods. {fast forward to the 2nd story}. In looking up the David Byrne story, I saw that there will be a story tonight about farmer's markets and a program to make them more affordable to poorer people. Nice. The pic with the story is funny, the heirloom tomatoes here tend to be much more mutant looking.
