Frank Deford / NPR

He makes me laugh. His piece this week is about the sports cliche "on the bubble."

His piece about Barry Bonds pursuing the home run record in 2007 was hilarious, and predicated the BYOJ (bring your own joy) short tie party. And damn if he doesn't throw in an unfortunate A-Rod mention and a fortunate Obama mention.
