He has a great story about how he found this movie. The jist is when he was touring with the Velveteens he saw part of this movie playing in a bar, and he spent a long time (years?) going in to video stores, trying to describe it, and finally got the title. Two-lane Blacktop is better, but Vanishing Point is a damn fine road movie.
